PEER REVIEW

  • SCS has compiled a National Panel of Board-Certified Physicians that actively practices in their specialty.
  • Peers are reviewed for Workers’ Compensation, Liability [Auto (No-Fault) and General] and other type cases or claims.
  • All physicians performing peer reviews are board certified. Disciplinary misconduct is routinely checked. All our physicians are licensed in the state in which the claim has occurred.
  • Support Claim Services, Inc. obtains, organizes and forwards medical records to the reviewing physician.
  • SCS peer review physicians analyze the claimant’s medical records to determine whether accepted standards of care are met, determine the root cause of the patient symptoms and treatment and to render impartial opinions.
  • All peer reports submitted by SCS physicians are scrutinized by our qualified peer team for client's protocol, medical necessity and/or causal relationship.
  • Support Claim Service, Inc. understands that quality and turnaround time (TAT) are essential to the process of a strong peer review. A superior peer review will support payment or a solid denial of treatment based upon the medical records provided as well as the treatment and diagnostic history.
